Self-catering chalets on the estuary's edge with golden, fiery sunsets, and private Palapa campsites a short walk from the beach. Leave your frowns, laptops and stress — bring your hat and camera.
Barra Dica — "the tip of Barra" — sits right on the point of the Barra peninsula. It was founded in 1996 as Areia Branca Lodge, and since December 2016 it has been home to Dries & Herliaan Visser, who moved here with their three sons for a "quality of life" change.
Since then they have welcomed many travelling strangers, who all left as friends of the family.
Every chalet faces the estuary. Log cabins built in the traditional Mozambican casita style, fully equipped except for towels, with a braai right outside.

10 chalets in the first row, right on the estuary's water edge.

7 chalets just 10 m behind the first row, same layout and estuary outlook.

6 covered, electrified campsites about 200 m from the beach or estuary.
For the adventurous and the quieter spirits — right on your doorstep or a short drive away.
